I would love to see Elmo do a duet with my grandson. If it needs to be someone famous, then Barry manilow.. if it needs to be a sesame street character then cookie monster.

I’ve watched best of elmo 2 and 3. And I can tell you this, while best of elmo 3 is good it is not add good as best of elmo 2. 3 has no story and each segment feels very random, on 2 we had a very nice background story driving the show. 2 also presented with much more toddler friendly songs, with less words, easier to sing along and not so fast paced. Oh yes and the songs don’t feel like forced acting. 3 came with many fast paced songs, including raps that I just can’t see how a child can process the words and learn something from it. In fact even I lose attention when watching. The lack of pause between songs in 3 is also overwhelming. It looks like they were thinking more about quantity and not so much about quality. Only one song in 3 really caught my attention, the one where elmo drives. I wish there were more songs like that. Also the bonus feature with the birthday is nice, but I just wish I didn’t have to select a different menu to play it.
My advice is that if you haven’t yet got 2, buy it! If you want a little more you can buy 3 but don’t expect it to be as good as 2.
