Our favorite big red dog has made it to televisions everywhere! That’s right, Clifford the Big Red Dog is now streaming everywhere and coming to blu-ray and DVD February 1st! We could not be more excited. Clifford is one of those characters that generations love and will continue to love and enjoy with this full length live action film featuring our favorite character, Emily Elizabeth. The Magic of Clifford the Big Red Dog
Chances are you have heard for Clifford the big red dog or are a fan. As a parent it was wonderful to introduce my boys to Clifford the Big Red Dog. Not only is he the cutest, but he’s a great role model. That’s right, I think of Clifford as a role model. His size and color makes him very special and his relationship to Emily Elizabeth teaches how no matter what someone looks like, everyone deserves love. The live action film reiterates those lessons and we watch Emily Elisabeth deal with being different and how others treat her. It’s truly a special story that will speak volumes to our children and teach them that just because people or pets look different, they also deserve love and respect.
The film itself is very beautiful in those sentiments and also visually. It reminded me of films that I enjoyed when I was growing up that had a bit of a magical element to them. The story of Clifford is a bit magical in that he is born a regular sized puppy and grows to fit the size of Emily Elizabeth’s love for him. Truly beautiful. There are some fantastic actor cameos in the film, my favorite had to have been of the amazing and legendary actor, John Cleese. You’ll see the fantastic Paul Rodriguez, the great David Allan Greer, and hilarious Keenan Thompson with a few others!
