The boys and I recently went to visit friends stationed at Fort Hood. We had a chance to go check things out around post. We had a blast Exploring the 1st Cavalry Museum at Fort Hood. Check out the pictures!
The history and tradition of the 1st Calvary is really neat. My sister served with a Calvary unit and has a Stetson hat and spurs.The hubs supported a Cav unit and received spurs before he re-deployed home in 2009. I think he’d look handsome in a Stetson.

Our time at Fort Hood was short, but it reminded me of what it’s like to be on an Army base again. Way different than being at an Air Force base. If you get a chance to visit Fort Hood I highly recommend you go by the 1st Calvary Museum and go outside for the actual vehicle display as well. I’ll post the vehicles next week. The boys had a blast!
