Grand Trunk Hammock a Review
Being outdoors is something my family enjoys a lot. We are definitely taking advantage of being away from the big city ambiance and hitting the trails more here in west Texas. We recently received a Grand Trunk Hammock for review. We have never owned a hammock so this was a real treat!
Let me tell you a little bit about the Grand Trunk single hammock. The hammock itself fits neatly into a small bag that is attached to the hammock. If you are worried about storage, don’t be. Having it’s own bag attached, means you aren’t going to misplace it and storage is a cinch. The hammock weighs 16 oz; it’s very light. The dimensions are 10.5 feet by 5 feet and the fabric is parachute nylon. I think that’s one of the things I was really impressed with when I received it. The parachute nylon is very soft and surprisingly rugged. Grand Trunk did an amazing job offering a hammock that is comfortable and very durable.
Ease of Set-Up?
Very easy! It was up in less than 5 minutes. The rope kit the hammock comes with is a rope starter kit. If you have larger trees in your area you will need to purchase a tree sling in addition. The instructions provided were very easy to read; even I could follow them. That says a lot because, I dislike reading directions. Very easy to install and you’ll feel 100% safe in it. That’s one thing I’m always afraid of with hammocks, what if it falls while I’m in it?! No worries if you follow the easy to read directions provided.
My husband is really enjoying the hammock. He can’t wait to take it out in the woods! Our son claims that we no longer need a tent, we can all sleep in the hammock he says.. hmm I think not.. LOL But if we did need to all stow away in the hammock; good news! It holds up to 400lbs!!
