There’s nothing like sharing stories and tips with fellow moms right? Besides our own mothers and books that’s how most moms get their knowledge. Each stage in a child’s life brings about so many changes and just when you think you’ve got one under control it’s time to learn a new phase. Potty training is this and so much more right? I was super excited to host a get together with some of my favorite moms. We came together just moms sharing potty training tips during the Pampers® Easy Ups party!
Prepping for the party was so much fun! As part of my partnership I received gift bags and Pampers EasyUps products to share with all of my guests. I love getting goodie bags ready! I get all kinds of excited knowing that each of the guests will have product to try and fall in love with!
Included in each gift bag:
- Pampers EasyUps product for a boy or girl
- $5 OFF Coupon for Pampers EasyUps
- Pampers Potty-Training Reward Chart with stickers
- Pampers Fact Sheet with Potty Training Tips
I think potty training had to have been the hardest part of child rearing so far for me. Well the sleepless nights in the beginning where easy either but this was tough. With the moving and all I really had to be strategic as to when would be the best time to begin. But you know after failing my attempts at making Ezra ready. Ultimately he was the one to decide when he was ready.
My friend K is definitely doing an awesome job with her son. He was so excited about the potty chart! There truly has to be an open conversation between potty trainee and trainer during this process. I want to say that was one of the problems with Ezra. He was not trying to hear me and he couldn’t communicate that to me. He’s definitely ready to potty train and very excited about it!
My friends were ready to take on potty training by the time the party ended. One of the most reoccurring conversations during the party was waiting for the child to let us know when they were ready. As parents I know once we get the idea in our heads about wanting to potty train that it’s time. But that wasn’t the case for Ezra and might not be the case for your child. Using an awesome potty chart like the one included in the goodie bags each of attendants felt that it would be a great tool to get their child excited. And you can’t help but love the characters on the Pampers EasyUps! We don’t want to get them wet!

My best tip is to wait until your little one shows interest. If they aren’t interested then you’re fighting a lost battle. LOL

And a battle is right! Thanks for your comment Kelley!!

My best tip is not to pressure the kids. They will let you know when they are ready. Still I would love to host a party like this, looks like so much fun!

I loved having those training pants that were easy for the kids to pull up. Consistency is key during potty training. That, and asking “Do you need to go potty?” 8,000 times a day! 😉

Our tip was keep a potty chart and lots of stickers on hand. My girls always loved seeing their charts filled up with stickers after they went potty.

My best tip would be consistent. I found that it was much easier when my son had the same expectations at home, at school, and everywhere.

I agree with the commenter on waiting for the child to be ready. It’s great to give moms a chance to compare notes on what works.

What a great idea to make something that is usually stressful into a celebration. I wish I would have been as smart when I was potty training mine.

In some way I can see the smiles and joy from all those moms who went and joined those events. It must be fulfilling to learn from one another, give and get gifts, and continue with a happier contented life with your kid back at home!

Easy Ups are a great tool for potty training. We used to put a few cheerios in the toilet so my Son would have fun using the potty and it helped teach him aim.
