Spring Break Sickness

March 12, 2014 By Candy

Sickness always seems to find us when we aren’t looking for it. I mean, I think that’s how it goes for everyone else too sometimes. We make plans and sometimes snot noses and fever take us down and plans change at the drop of a hat. Doesn’t make for a happy Candy, at all. I love making plans, and keeping them not having to change up at the last minute.

Spring Break Sickness

My master plan, as always is to pack in as much fun as possible. Life is short you know, you gotta fit in fun in every little corner and crevice when you have free time available! Spring Break was this time! Yep, you read it right.. “was.”  To say I’m bummed about having to change some Spring Break plans, is to say it lightly. We had so much fun planned with my parents that involved the Houston Stock show & Rodeo! Uh huh.. so sad, we are going to miss it! There will be more, I know it.

Yesterday, instead of heading off to East Texas to visit family each of us had an appointment with our primary care providers. Well I had to go to Urgent Care, there was no way I was going to wait until tomorrow for an appointment. Ear ache, upper respiratory infections and fever all around! How about that? I wasn’t even feeling feverish (or actually maybe I was, now that I think about it.. and as I sit here sweating it out from my injection).. But the boys each had a low grade fever and my poor Aramis even had an ear ache to boot.

We all now have medications to fill our days with and hopefully after 24 hours of antibiotics we can emerge and do some fun stuff here in San Angelo. I think we can, I think we can.. I know we can! Hopefully we will 🙂

Later today I’ll be posting my full review of our weekend visit to Schlitterbahn in New Braunsfels, Texas!! It was an amazing visit and I can’t wait to share with you all!!

Question:

Do you have big plans for FUN during your Spring Break?
