10 things I Learned From The Witcher on Netflix & Parental Guide

January 4, 2022 By Candy

The Witcher is a new series that premiered in December on Netflix. If you haven’t had a chance to watch it, I’m sharing 10 things you’ll learn from watching the series. As if Henry Cavill wasn’t enough reason to watch it alone. I would say it’s a sexy series, but there’s a lot of gorry violence in it too. It’s one to watch if you haven’t yet, catch season one of The Witcher on Netflix now.

I am normally not one to watch this genre and I decided to give it a chance. I’m glad I did, I really enjoyed it. I didn’t even recognize Superman (Cavill) as The Witcher. When I did finally realize who he was that was a nice bonus. The story itself is very complicated if you new to the series, but I was able to catch up without doing any online research.

And also to prepare yourself for the second season, that has been confirmed. My review coming soon. 🙂

10 things I Learned From Watching The Witcher on Netflix

  1. There’s a video game called The Witcher
  2. There’s a book series called The Witcher, there are eight books in the series
  3. The show has a rich back story, and they do a lot of back and forth- so pay attention
  4. Witchers are made not born
  5. Mages/sorcerers and Witchers are sterile once they are transformed
  6. What the “Law of Surprise” means
  7. That a gin allows you three wishes
  8. I still don’t know what a Gin is, but it’s creepy looking
  9. Witchers and mages do not age
  10. The emblems in the beginning credits of the episode have a meaning. Pay attention as they connect at the end of the series.

If you enjoy fantasy series shows, this will be one you do not want to miss. You can expect to see all of the characters and scenarios like, dragons, scenes in taverns, mystical creatures, that make shows in the fantasy category enjoyable to watch. Not to mention the handsome and muscular leading man with beautiful backdrops that make for some epic scenes.

Parental Guide

Another thing you can expect to see is sex. The Witcher is rated TV-MA for a mature audience. There are extensive scenes with nudity (breasts and powerful sexual scenes) and scenes of intense battle and bloodshed that are not suitable for younger audiences.

Synopsis

“Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.”

Let me know what you think of the series in the comments!

Cheers,

Candy
