Three Things To Do When The Time Changes

March 12, 2016 By Candy

Yes!! The time is upon us! Daylight Savings Time or DST! It’s time to “Spring” our clocks forward by an hour and enjoy a longer day!  I’ve got a Three things to do when the time changes so you aren’t an hour behind but ahead for a better day!
THINGS TO DO OUTSIDE

One of the first things you must do and the most obvious is change every clock in your house.. And you know you’ll miss one and not notice it until a few weeks or months later.. Or it could just be something I do! LOL

ADJUST YOUR CLOCKS

It never fails, weeks or months later I happen to be looking at a clock and realize it’s still wrong.. Wind that time forward ya’ll! Unless it’s all digital and it’s done for you! Thanks Apple!

Now that you’ve got an extra hour of sunlight you need to start planning outdoor activities!

GET OUTSIDE

outside

You might think, well we spend time outside but now you can spend even more time outside! That extra hour will make so much of a difference. Now that it’s feeling more like Spring for us, we are getting the boys outside way more. I might actually be able to get off of my Vitamin D medicine! I’m the worst about taking the boys out.. But now. It’s on like Donkey Kong! Let’s disconnect and have fun together!

So now that you’ve got more daylight, you might think.. “well getting my clocks changed is definitely important and getting outside.. yeah good point.. but what else?” So it might not seem like something you must do.. but since the change happens tonight.. I’m saying:

SLEEP

Yes! It might not seem like much but an hour can really jack up your sleep pattern. I used to have insomnia real bad and the time change would have me all kinds of mixed up. One of the things we have always done is have black out curtains on all of the windows. They are fantastic during the time changes in the fall and spring. The boys don’t notice a difference because their room is dark from the curtains and we all sleep better.

So there you have it, change your clocks, get out side and get some sleep and you’ll be set! It’s not officially Spring yet, so I can’t wish you Happy Spring! But I can’t wait for it to be!! only 8 more days!!

Question:

What’s one thing you do when the time changes?

Cheers!
