Tired of My Bath by Dicy McCullough
Children’s Book Review & Giveaway
Tired Of My Bath by Dicy McCullough is such a great story that teaches children that moms know best and bathing is important. When I was asked to review a children’s book, my first question was, “What is the lesson of the book and what are my children going to learn from it?” Valid questions I consider with any literature I purchase for my boys ages 1 and 6. Granted the 1 year old is indifferent, but I want my 6 year old to learn from the books we purchase; we read each book many times.
Tired Of My Bath will definitely be a reoccurring book in our home until the idea of cleanliness sets in.
Tire of My Bath totally delivers in this aspect. We always tell our son, “You don’t want to be the stinky boy in school.” Listening to story of a stubborn little boy named John Allen that didn’t care for baths. My son quickly he caught on to the moral of the story and agreed on daily baths. I also love that he saw and understood that “mom does know what she’s talking about.”
Do you have nightly issues getting your children in the bath? McCullough’s book will help convey the message of the importance of baths and the importance of listening to mommy. Because we do know best. lol
