Augusta Rocks

November 1, 2017 By Candy

One of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long time are the rocks. Creative citizens are painting rocks and leaving them around town for others to find. It’s also happening in cities around the United States. Augusta rocks is an appropriate title for this post and you’re going to have to let me know if your city does the rocks too! From what I’ve seen online a lot are getting in on the fun and I get to show off work by my creative friends too!

ROCKS

Those beautiful smooth river rocks that line the banks of rivers are turning into canvases. Some big, some small the creativity and time people are putting into the pieces of art is very impressive. My friend Deanna told our group of friends about a Facebook group where the rocks are auctioned off! Be warned, some can go for a pretty penny! As you can imagine the rocks turn into works of art. D and her daugther are very creative and have made some very beautiful rocks.

I have some very creative friends!

We have not had a chance to paint any rocks, but since we’ll be moving soon I think we should leave our mark on Augusta. I’ll have to update the post with pictures of our rocks or you can see them on Instagram, as you know I’ll be posting.

ROCK AROUND FACEBOOK

Want to see some of the amazing rocks made in Augusta? Check out this Facebook group. If you have a local rock group in your town, let me know and I’ll share the link. We’ll start a directory of rock groups! That would be pretty cool!!

The Dainty rock was made for a family wedding.

Let me know if your community does the “rock” thing and share some of your pictures with me by tagging me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Cheers!

Wow, these painted rocks are so amazing. I have heard of people painting rocks in other states but not where I live.

I was at a bus stop the other week and happened to look down and there was a rock with a dog painted on it. It was really cute. Now I’m on the look out for them and I’m trying to get my grandsons to paint some rocks.

Those are all so very cool. I wish I would find one of these where we live but I haven’t heard of anyone in this area doing this. How fun!

These are some really nice looking painted rocks. This would be fun to do. I have not seen any where I live.
