The beginning of the week and it’s time to get back on the saddle! Right? Do you use Mondays as your day to “Get back to dieting” or “Get back to exercise?” I am just trying to get on a regular schedule. The past few weeks have been so hard on getting into a routine and getting healthy.
How do you get into a routine? How do you beat the dreaded “kid sabotage?” At this duty station my husband works longer hours so most of the time I have the children. Which don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining it’s just hard to get into a real training schedule. I’ve really got to get it together. I think making time for myself is something that I need to actually do more of and not feel guilty. That’s my ultimate issue. I feel guilty about a lot of stuff. I could make a list, I won’t bog down this post. I like to and would rather stay positive. I know eventually my kids will get older and it won’t be an issue anymore. This is just a momentary blip in the system right.
This is a short and sweet Mamavation Monday post and it was kind of all over the place now that I read it over. Oh well that’s exactly how I feel lately. All over the place!
I’m headed out for a walk- taking advantage that my husband is home today! LOL
This post is sponsored Dole and Mamavation – a community dedicated to obesity prevention & weight loss for women and I’m writing this to be entered into a giveaway

Oh Candy, I so get the mom guilt! I use to feel so guilty about the time I would take out to run but I just keep in mind that I am a better mom if I run. The time I take to distress via my runs help my DD. we have to keep ourselves on our priority list!

I completely agree Martha. It’s a daily struggle for me.

I dealt with feeling guilty about taking time for myself for years. I still miss out on my local boot camp on days when my kids need help with homework, because I feel bad about leaving them even though their dad is home to help. It’s hard to make time for ourselves, but it’s SO good for us AND our children when we are healthier, happier moms!

Keep on staying positive! Mondays are really super hectic for me, so I don’t usually use them as a start to anything hahaha BUT I’m glad that you’re getting back in it! I think that one of my ways to avoid kid sabotage is to get them working out too. My boys both love to do whatever I’m doing (they’re still young) so it’s fun for them. Good luck this week!
