If you’ve been here before you know I love Disney and that I am a dreamer. I truly believe that anything is possible as long as you believe. A couple of years ago, I learned about an amazing event that Disney puts on for high school-aged children. Disney gives teenagers the opportunity to dream at the Disney Dreamers Academy. Had it not been for my friends Christine St. Villi and Latoyia Dennis, I would have never known about this program. What an amazing opportunity for our teens. I happy to share some information with you today. Registration for the 2020 event is not open yet, but rest assured I will keep you up on anything Disney Dreamers Academy.
Disney Dreamers Academy – What is it?
If you are thinking, the Disney “dreamers” as in DACA, this is completely different. This event, empowers and uplifts 100 teenagers that are ready to take on the world after high school.

During the four-day event, the teens are challenged to “Be100,” an aspirational mindset that encourages the students to be 100 percent “all in,” to make the most of their opportunities, relentlessly pursue and realize their dreams, and positively make a difference in the lives of others.
The 100 high schoolers, along with a parent or guardian, will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Walt Disney World Resort, where they will hear from notable speakers, engage in immersive career-oriented workshops and learn important life skills such as communication, leadership and networking. It all takes place amidst the backdrop of the Walt Disney World theme parks, another inspiration for what one individual’s big dreams can accomplish.
TV host and comedian Steve Harvey serves as the event’s master of ceremonies and motivational speaker, along with other notable personalities.
Sounds amazing right? I would love for my boys to experience it one day, but for now I share the information with you so you can talk to your kids about it. Share this post with your grandchildren, nieces and nephews so they too can apply (if they are within the age range of course). The 100 chosen have an amazing four days and I’m pretty sure their lives are changed forever. Driven to do great things because they believe!
