I have been hearing about Tieks by Gavrieli for a while now. I’ve checked out their website and read up on them. Like any other girl, I would “shop” for which pair I’d purchase first.
I’m a huge fan of the Wizard of Oz and I always wanted a pair of Ruby red slippers. I love the color red so I always said I’d LOVE the Cardinal red Tieks. In my dreams of course… Then hubs asked me what I wanted for Mother’s Day and I mentioned these beautiful Italian leather red ballet flats. Well the rest is history! I’m so excited to share with you: this is my first pair of Tieks by Gavrieli!
UNBOXING MY TIEKS
I was truly amazed when I received them. I’m a girl that enjoys beautiful packaging. It’s the little things that do it for me. A family friend of mine recently purchased a pair of Tieks and she posted them online. I noticed the flower on her box, but didn’t realize it was customary for each pair of Tieks to come with a flower. My box also arrived with a beautiful flower (and I can totally wear it as a headband, if I want to!). It was love at first sight and I hadn’t even opened the box yet.
Then I opened the box to find a handwritten note. Seriously- my heart skipped a beat. I have seen online that the staff at Tieks sent out handwritten cards to customers at times. I absolutely love this! It made me feel very special and made me even more excited to get those Cardinal red beauties on my feet! They did not disappoint!
CRAFTSMANSHIP
These shoes are AMAZING. I was very impressed by the craftsmanship of the shoe. Each shoe is hand-stitched with Italian leather. They are soft on the outside and inside. Honestly, they feel like a second skin and mold to your feet. I think that’s why they fit so well. The shoes have a buttery soft leather smell too! I love the smell of leather! You can just tell it’s a quality product. If leather isn’t your thing, they also have beautiful Vegan options too! I love love love the Sunset Stripe Vegan shoe.
I literally can’t stop wearing them!
I am now actually going to admit to shopping for cute tops and/or dresses that would look cute with my Tieks. Yeah I am! Secretly I’m already hoping for another pair! (Note the pair I mentioned above.)
ARE THEY WORTH IT?
If you’ve also been dream shopping on the site you’ve seen the price tag on these babies. My biggest question to everyone that owns a pair was always, “Are they worth it?” Honestly, YES! I love the look of flats. They are cute, look great with various styles and are an easy shoe option. These flats exceeded all of my expectations. I have several pairs of flats and they have all been worn a handful of times each. For various uncomfortable reasons (ie tight in the heels, have no support, or cut into my foot). By saying that I’ve been wearing them daily, has to tell you something! They are that easy, comfy, cute and so very worth every penny. My feet have no complaints! The only thing I worry about is wearing them out.
For now, I’m loving and enjoying them! I can’t wait to add more to my closet! I’d also like to add if they are good enough for my dear Oprah– they are good enough for me and you! 😉 They didn’t make Oprah’s Favorite Things List for nothing! Just saying..

Yes Aimee. I wore them to tour a fort and they were comfortable. They soles are thick so you don’g get the walking on the floor feeling.

Every box has a flower on the box. It’s actually on a band, so I could wear it as a headband if I was so bold. LOL

Perfection! I love ballet flats like these for traveling to blog conferences. They allow me to dress up, yet still be comfy at the same time. All the conferences I’ve been too, there is SO much walking.

That’s this brand Carly! Tieks doesn’t blister bc of the way they are made, they are easy on the back of the heels. That has always been a concern when it comes to flats. Restrictive and blisters.. None since I’ve had them.

I have huge, wide feet. These look comfy. Do they run true to size, wide or small?
I wear a size 7, so I ordered a 7. I have semi-wide feet and they fit great. The leather is soft and subtle, it honestly molds to your foot. When I first put them on I was afraid they were too big, but I took a step in them and they fit perfectly. They don’t flop at all either. They are truly the best ballet flat I’ve ever had. Tieks is awesome company, I’m sure they would exchange them if you had any issues.

They have. I wear them often too. Let me know if you have any other questions. I just received my second pair on Thursday.
What are you thoughts on sizing up or down if you are a 1/2 size? website says size down but I want to make the right choice. People have said both.

Hi Alison! I wear a 7 so I went with the 7. A friend of mine sized up. I would have also sized up, while the Italian leather will give you don’t want it to be too tight. What color are you going with? Another hard decision.
How I pray Tieks will be the solution for my feet. My right foot the bunion has crossed completely over my second toe and on the left foot my bunion is very very enlarged. At my age, and health, surgery would not be advisable. Plan on reading more reviews before I submit my order. My right foot would be an “e”and my left foot a “c”.
I wear a size 13, so I’m gonna have to see if they carry 13’s! super cute and great review
