Disclosure: This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Sears and Latina Bloggers Connect.
I love when brands do good, I think that it makes a brand more real and that there are people with big hearts in management. This day in age, I think we need to know that there are real people behind brands. Make them feel more accessible. I’m so excited to share with you what Sears is doing. They are truly doing good; Sears is bringing #MoreToYou. In the More To You campaign, Sears has truly hit it out of the park. To show all the ways Sears offers more to its members and customers, it has produced a video series called More To You featuring surprises with real people, based on real tweets from people who want to give more to the ones they love.
What a sweet campaign right?! To think that by putting out a tweet on the net, that it could be chosen by Sears and they would do something special for the person you noted in the tweet. I’m happy to share one of the #MasDeLoTuyo’s first projects. The video below features Jasmine, a teen who wanted to do something nice for her dad and got more than she bargained for. Watch the video and yes, if you are an emotional being like me, grab some tissues!
Pretty sweet right?!
Watching the video brought out so many emotions for me. I’m naturally an emotional person and seeing the program that Sears developed in action was really awesome. Jasmine made the first move by tweeting out her message to @Sears by using the #MoreToYou hash tag. Truly amazing opportunity to for Sears to show they care. Like Jasmine, I too am first generation Mexican-American. I’ve seen the struggles that immigrant families go thru, in my own and others. Being able to provide for their families are everyone’s goals and to come to this country and better their way of life. The gift to her father was pretty amazing and the scholarship Jasmine received had me pretty stoked for her as well. Thank you Sears! We come to this country to better ourselves and that’s exactly what this family has done and will continue to do.
So quick, put it out on the web and tweet @Sears with #MasDeLoTuyo and Sears just might give more to you!
OMG if you are selected send me an email or tweet to me! I love it when my readers have an exciting moment like this!! This would be amazing!
Question:
What were your thoughts and feelings during the video? or What would you tweet to @Sears?
Cheers,
Candy

You were right to say “grab some tissues”. The video made me cry. Good tears though to see such love in the hearts of the family members and appreciation for all the father did for them. Sears really stepped up to the plate with their huge make-over of the workshop for the father and the generous check for the daughter’s education. Thanks for this very touching post that started my day on a very happy note. 🙂

Love that clip! I am not a sap at all and it still tugged at my tough little heart strings. I am so glad to see a major corporation that clearly still cares about the people and not necessarily just the mighty dollar!
