Ok so it’s almost over but I wanted to do this 5 minute exercise thanks to Fadra of AllThinksFadra! Here’s my five minute Stream of Consciousness Sunday post aka SOC Sunday.
Wow five minutes doesn’t really seem like much time, but it’s just enough time to get some thoughts down. So tomorrow is Monday and I’m headed to Hispanicize. EEeek! I’m super nervous and super excited to connect with friends I’ve only known online! Yeah it’s that funny!? The life of a blogger. I think back at the times when the internet was taking off and chat rooms were all the rave! You remember right? I wanted an AOL email address so bad! Anyhoo.. A few of the people I’ll see again are people that I have met in person so there’s that at least right? 🙂 But seriously there are some wonderful people that I have had the privilege to work with and I’ll get to hug their necks. I’m a hugger.. I hope they are too!
One of the things I’m not sure about is my clothes.. Ugh I never know what to pack. I know it’s going to be hot there.. it’s Miami and humid. But I don’t think we’ll be outside much? Maybe it’s just me.. I could be wrong. If I spend a lot of time outside I’ll end up looking like a chia pet bc my hair and all.. Oh speaking of my hair I did an at home dye job the other day! I had to lighten it so I actually think I might have been on the border of burning it.. But with a good conditioner I think I did pretty good! It’s a bright red. I love it! But back to my clothes.. I think I’m just going to be comfortable. Take me as I am people.
Wow that was fast!! I think I need to work on my typing skills.. I’m super slow. or not fast enough.. LOL
I NEVER know what to bring when I travel to a conference or a convention. The best advice that people tell us I think we always forget or ignore: be comfortable and feel good in what you wear. I always pack the cute stuff that I feel uncomfortable in and then regret it because I really can’t enjoy myself!

LOL! I’m not a hugger but I’ll hug meeting bloggers for the first time. Now if you’re one of those that will hug me the next day or even the next time you see me in the same day I might appear stand-offish 😉 Have fun. I haven’t been to anything yet but I have met two bloggers IRL. Neither of them blog anymore but we still keep in touch regularly so that’s cool. Probably too late to tell you want to pack but you can’t go wrong with short sleeves and capris or short. I’d take a cardigan or something just in case the ac is too much on the inside.
I am not a fast typist either. 5 minutes flies by. Don’t laugh – I thought at first that Hispanicize was a new workout trend…then I read on about packing, and queue my glance to the right & I see it’s a convention. Duh! Hope you have a great time! Stopping over from Fadra’s link-ups.
I’m trying to picture you with red hair and I can’t do it! I once dyed my hair almost black and hated it. I couldn’t get it to fade and I actually did a hair color removal kit. Talk about frying my hair! As for conference stuff, I usually pack ONE outfit for each day and ONE outfit for each night so I don’t have the problem of choice. I have to wear what I brought.
