All the fuss on Seinfeld was true, the soup from the Original SoupMan is amazing! And guess what?! I didn’t have to go wait in line in New York or be judged by the Soup Man himself to taste it! You know his phrase, “No Soup For You,” if you misbehave in line. But I’m happy that I didn’t have to go thru that! That’s right Soup for me. The Original Soupman soups are delicious, as I imagine they would be. I was very impressed with the assortment of soups too. The Original Soupman company has really outdone themselves. And a lot of the soups you can purchase are also sold in their New York, Connecticut and Dallas locations. Nice right?! I won’t be up north any time soon, but when we head to Dallas, I’m going to make it a point to stop by the location for a bowl! Enough about me! Back to the soup!!
Wondering what soups are available? Check out this lovely spread!
Soups by The Original SoupMan
- Lobster Bisque
- Chicken Noodle
- Chicken Gumbo
- Crab & Corn
- Tomato Bisque
- Lentil
- Jambalaya
Ummm hmmm, I haven’t tried them all, but the Chicken Noodle, Lentil soup and Chicken Gumbo is beyond words. With the freezing temperatures, soup has been one of our go-to meals and thanks to The Original Soupman has not let us down. I reach into my pantry and pop open the box into a sauce pan on the stove. The soups are microwaveable but I prefer to warm on top of the stove. I feel the soup gets warmed more evenly and just makes it more homely.
One of the things I was most impressed with was the packaging. In the soup aisle, what do you see? Rows and rows of cans.. Yeah they have the canned date, but how long are they really good for? The Original Soupman soups have a Best By date on top of the box. The BPA Free Tetra Pak box used in the packaging is 100% recyclable too, delicious and good for the environment.
Another thing that I love about The Original Soupman soups is that for every soup purchased a portion of every sale goes to the Al Feeds the Hungry Foundation. Soupman, you continue to impress me!

I love the expiration date – that’s the funniest part of the box. If I served this for dinner, you KNOW I would be quoting the episode all night long.

My favorite soup is tomato, but most of the ones I find in stores has way too much sugar in it, so I usually end up with chicken noodle or something. 🙂
