*Please Note: Entering Sweepstakes during the months of October, November and December you can expect to receive prizes in the new year. Unless the sponsor specifically puts that in the Official Rules, don’t expect to receive the prize quickly. Check with the sponsors when you receive the Congratulatory email just in case, but it’s always good to start stocking up for next year!

Here’s 7 Tips When you are Sweeping for Gifts:

1- If it’s a Daily Entry Sweepstakes – ENTER DAILY The more entries you submit, the more chances you’ll have to win. Same for weekly sweepstakes! I’ve been known to only enter once during weekly sweepstakes and forget about the rest of the time. Yeah, I didn’t win anything..

2- Double Check the amount of Entries you are eligible to enter. *Share on Facebook and Twitter if it’s an option!*

3- If it’s a “Like” Contest, make sure to get your friends and family in on the gig so they can help! You need a good lead for the experienced sweepers that will take a contest at the end.

4- Research and you should be able to find more than one sweepstakes/giveaway you can enter for the same item.

5- Make sure you are eligible to enter said sweepstakes, contest or giveaway.

6- Check the ending dates on the sweepstakes or giveaway.

7- Read the Official Rules, ok that kind of covers rules number 2, 5, 6  But it’s so important!

I began sweeping in November of 2006. Needless to say anything that I did win didn’t come in until after the holidays. But I had racked up by the beginning of February I had already won (and probably still not received) a Barnes & Noble Nook, Kindle Fire, a prize pack from the National Park Foundation that included 2 round trip tickets from Southwest Airlines!  Needless to say my husband could’t figure out what to get me for my birthday.. LOL  It’s a good problem to have right!
