Thursday Thoughts

November 13, 2014 By Candy

It’s Thursday!! Time for this week’s Thursday Thoughts…

Thursday Thoughts

-So I haven’t really put it out there much.. but we are MOVING! Yeah I’ve known for a while now, but haven’t put it out to the universe because I am still “in shock”? Nah, not really.. I guess I just didn’t realize it was really happening? Ok, so that sounds more like denial. I love, love, love being in Texas. It is home after all.. and while I hate to leave the Lone Star State “you know who” has deemed it time to go. Where are we headed next? Land of the Peaches and Mint Juleps! We are headed to Georgia! So now I can vent about the packing situation. Ok I won’t go there.. it’s actually not too bad, just that it’s happening right before Christmas. So if I fall off the radar you know it’s because we are in the process of moving.

-I’m sure you’ve figured it out that I am a huge sap and my heart is just so sensitive I’m a crier. Sometimes I wonder if it’s borderline depression. I can cry at the drop of the hat people.. Commercials make me cry. Has anyone seen the holiday commercials by a grocery store named Publix? Those.. all day! I’ve cried at doctor appointments before but they’ve never seemed concerned, so I haven’t either. But sometimes I do wonder. It always breaks my heart to hear of how a person can fall into depression and succumb to it. Those are some serious demons people have to fight off. If you suffer from depression my heart goes out to you! Or are you super emotional like I am?

-Road rage.. Do you have it? I think I have flipped off one person in  my entire life when it came to driving. I felt so bad after I did it too! I have remorse issues, if I say something that is borderline wrong and it’s taken the wrong way, secretly I feel bad.. Until I forget about it. The drivers here in San Angelo are terrible. It being a town with a university and a military installation there are literally people from all over the world. ASU is world-wide ya’ll, don’t hate- it’s Texas Tech University umm k. So having drivers from all over brings all kinds of driving styles. Hence the no signal light or red light non-stopping muldoons.. Thankfully I haven’t come across any Stop sign running fools.  I may not be here to write about this.. Oh lord, God forbid! I love hearing other people complain about the drivers here. I’ve heard mentions of, “Why do people stop at a yield? or a merge?!” Those are funny conversations.. because we are just asking ourselves why.. and being frustrated. Do you have road rage?

-We have too many cups. We seem to get a collector’s at everything we go to.. theme parks, sports events, Oktoberfest.. you name it, we have the cup to prove we were there. I was going through our cabinets looking at all of the stuff we have and it just blew my mind. Anyone want any cups? 😉  just kidding…I’m a borderline hoarder and I need to keep those “memories” with me. LOL

-Have you started Christmas shopping or prepping your holiday menus? It’s coming ya’ll, and it’s coming fast! October blew by and November just kinda snuck up on me. The time change has me a little jacked up too. I’ve decided that I’ll be doing the bulk of my shopping online. I loathe going to the post office and this way, everyone gets it at their house. Easy right? I’m all about ease this holiday season. But I will be Black Friday shopping!! Sorry not sorry ya’ll.. I know I have some die hard Black Friday shoppers in here somewhere! Check out my Tips for the Best Black Friday Shopping Experience!  If you have tips leave them below in the comments!

-Long blog posts.. I guess I have a little bit of of ADD and I just can’t. If they are a little over 5 paragraphs I’m out. Have you noticed I keep them short and sweet with lots of pictures? I try. I want to keep your attention. If I ever get too long winded.. let me know.

And with that I’m off.. getting our vacuum serviced, my coo-cook clock packed up and going to Best Buy to talk to someone about a Hot Spot! Ah it’s pcs prepping time!

What will you be doing this fine Thursday?
