Happy New Year guys!! I’m five days late.. but I’m finally back to the grind sort of.. It’s been slow around here and I apologize! We took a holiday trip to Texas and it’s been great visiting family and hanging with friends and we are finally headed back today! Yes! Say a prayer for us as we make a 13 hour trip back to Georgia! The boys and I did it in 15 hour on the drive down here to Texas; I’ll be sharing about that later this week with a giveaway from our friends at CVS!! So stay tuned! 😉
We actually hadn’t been home since last December 2014 when we were pcsing with the Army.. Our summer was just not long enough to make our way here so we had to wait until Christmas. I don’t think I’ll do that again either. It was just too long of a time away. Have you ever stayed away a while and noticed the difference when you went back? It truly was too long to be away.
Anyhoo.. the new year will bring a few changes to Candypolooza. I’m three years in and I am constantly thinking of how I can bring you more information on life as a Military family, my undying love for television and film and sharing it with you all, recipes and you know I do crafts for MyMilitarySavings right? I hope to start incorporating some crafting fun with you guys here as well. I do a lot of kid friendly crafts there, you can see my Pinterest board here:

but I’ll stick to crafts you can do with your girlfriends here for now. I love doing crafts with my friends! I have some pretty crafty friends here at Gordon if you noticed in this holiday post! So I am going to have to do more of those get togethers with my ladies.
And I can’t forget about how I even got started blogging, it was sweepstakes! My dear friend Shari is going to join me in sharing awesome sweepstakes with you all.. because if it’s one thing I love.. you know I love to WIN! And I want you to win as well! I’ll tell you though I’ve not had much time to enter sweepstakes in the last year. Do I miss it? Absolutely! So let’s make a pact that we will win something this year ok!
Reading.. yes. Reading! I haven’t done enough in the past few years and I miss it. Little E’s god mother and my long time friend V and her sister will be helping me start doing book reviews! I’m super excited about it. I will also be reading and sharing my thoughts on books with you. I’ve got a few friends that are authors, so hopefully there will be giveaways too!!
