You truly only need one reason to experience Summer of Heroes at Disneyland California Adventure, but I figured I’d give you four. Yes, thanks to Disney we got to experience two fun filled evenings at California Adventure and Disneyland. This was my second time visiting Disneyland and it was truly wonderful. Have you ever been to Disneyland? I’m so excited to share why you must experience summer of heroes at Disneyland California Adventure!
Marvel
Ten years of Marvel live action films. They have brought you thrills, chills and inter-galactic adventures,(hello GOTG Vol 1 & 2!)! To see your favorite super hero in person and to maybe event get a picture is pretty damn awesome. I’ve got my own Captain America at home, but it was really cute to watch Captain America chatting up a young lady before getting his picture taken with her. The cast members are simply fantastic! Caught a pic of Hawkeye hanging out with an awesome SWAT vehicle too. It was pretty dang cool. And easy on the eyes chicas! 😉
Super Hero Eats
Becuase obvi you gotta eat! There’s some great places to find super hero eats in the Summer of Heroes area. Here’s an important tip though, plan what you want to enjoy. A lot of it was gone by the time we got there in the evening. Don’t break your kid’s heart because you wait on the Spiderman donut and they are out for the day when you are ready. We did get some cute Groot bread! Cheesy jalapeño bread so if you are into spicy grab a Groot for yourself!

The Experience
Throughout the area there are fun spots for the kids and adults to enjoy Marvel magic. Kids can get their face painted like their favorite super hero for FREE! Yep! It can be a wait, but it’s so much fun to see the kids showing their love to their favorite super hero with a cool face painting. From what I understand the painting can take up to 40 minutes, so you’ll be in line and getting your paint on for a bit.
And there’s the Hero Action Center where you can discover the extraordinary qualities of your favorite Super Heroes and learn how to embody your one personal heroics!
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
Yep! I’m totally going there. If you’ve ridden Tower of Terror and thinking.. ah it’s no biggie. Um excuse me friends but this ride will take you for a ride!
I actually had no intention of riding this ride. We were told we could walk thru to take pictures and experience it and not have to ride. Ok so on we went. It was really cool too. I have to say that’s one of my favorite things about Disney parks is the detail they put into each experience (ride). I call it an experience becuase the ride puts you in the movie, or atleast it feels like that to me. It’s really cool! We’re walking in and get to see Rachet hiding out and walk by the Collector and it was pretty damn awesome. A great build up to the ride.
It was pretty damn cool! So like I said it was a really cool walk thru and once we got to the ride area.. I was totally in for it. And boy was I in for it! All I can say is if you are a thrill seeker this is the ride for you. I’m not exactly.. but I did it and I can mark it off my list. Never again.. or maybe I won’t say “never again.” But for your enjoyment here’s the pic of me on the ride! LOL
