Big A is finishing up second grade today. His vocabulary is out of the world and overall he’s a pretty good student. We moved to Georgia back in January and were surprised to find out he was slightly behind with the difference in Texas and Georgia curriculum. We decided to try a tutoring program here in town and weren’t really happy with it so I started doing some research online. I knew that I wasn’t going to start home schooling him, but I wanted something that would catch him up and definitely something to keep him busy over there Summer. After doing some clicking here and there we found Time4Learning.com. I’m very excited that he will be Summer schooling with Time4Learning.com.
I know what you are thinking. The same thing I was wondering- How is this going to help? Is it really a good program? I did as most do on social media and I asked if anyone used an online program. My friend Jennifer also mentioned supplementing her children’s education so I was super excited to try it.
The set up was very simple. There is a parent panel so the parent can set up schedules and curriculum plans. I was very impressed. You can honestly get very specific on how much time you want spent on the subjects and you can make certificates for your child when they reach important milestones. Truly a program like no other.
Big A was just as impressed if not more. I kinda wanted to get on and “play” on the program too, standing behind him watching was pretty great too though.
Here’s a couple of screen shots of what some of the questions are. Each section is separated by grade level and one of the cool things is that you can cross into the next grade too. Kind of like overlapping
Definitely fun screens and activities to work on!
Everyday he gets home he has asked for computer time. I couldn’t be happier and the program just reaffirms how bright this boy is. I’m looking forward to setting up the program and really preparing him for third grade. I knew that with the Summer coming we would want to keep him going with something. It’s hard to get kids to read over the Summer sometimes. We plan on doing a lot of traveling so he’ll be having mandatory computer time each evening to get his schooling time in.
I look forward to using Time4Learning for a very long time. I am very happy with this program. If you are looking for an online program to supplement your child’s education during Summer or anytime during the school year check out Time4Learning!
