Thursday Thoughts

December 17, 2015 By Candy

It’s been a while right? Life has gotten busy for one reason or another and I haven’t had a chance to get any of my Thursday thoughts out. I was having a conversation with a friend the other day and we were talking about the holidays. How exciting they are for everyone, the hustle and bustle of shopping and getting gifts together, traveling and seeing friends and family. My Christmas wish is that everyone will get some happiness this holiday season.

Thursday Thoughts

I have experienced depression this year and I understand it can get worse during the holidays. Crazy right? How can someone be sad during the “most wonderful time of the year?!” Hard to believe but it’s true. I’m sure I’ll feel happiness and I’m sure at some point I’ll feel sadness too, all we can do is keep hope alive and know tomorrow will be better. Stay positive friends! See the good in people and truly give yourself. If you can, spend some time with someone you think might be feeling sad or going thru something right now. This is truly the gift that keeps on giving; the gift of friendship, of listening, or/and of being a shoulder to cry on. Be that gift to someone this holiday season. You never know when you make that connection with someone and truly save their life. It’s the holiday of giving and giving doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with money.

I have a few blog posts lined up and a couple of giveaways during the Christmas and New Year holiday that I’ll be posting, but for the most part I’ll be spending time with family and friends just as I hope you will be too. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year friends! Thanks for staying with me and reading my crazy family adventures, trying my recipes, entering my giveaways and reading all of those television and movie posts I enjoy writing so much. You truly mean the world to me!

Cheers!
