As a child, I didn’t have a care in the world. Now that I have children, I’m always worried. What’s up with that right? I swear I worry about the weirdest things too.. But one of the things I worry about and it’s a totally valid concern are my air filters! Why you ask? Well there’s a few reasons why..   This is my top reason for changing the filters monthly. • Overall Health-

There is a lot of family history with breathing issues. Scary right?! If you aren’t breathing.. you are pretty much dead! One of the things that we all battle are Allergies! Nothing like having a good Filtrete filter to catch all of the allergens that make our noses run. When A was 2-3 months we had a huge scare in North Carolina. We had just moved and it was during the winter, we were living in an apartment. Poor A was coughing and couldn’t catch his breath.. we rushed him to the ER and he was diagnosed with RSV! *Not saying Filtrete will cure RSV.. just saying had we had a good filter in our unit the allergens wouldn’t have been so bad. At that point we were pretty much home bound.. One of the things I’ve always been told about our units is that you have to keep them maintained. One of the easiest ways to keep your unit functioning at 100% is to keep the filters changed. The more fluff and stuff hanging on your filter the harder it has to work to pump out hot or color air. Along with other service related ways to keep your unit working tip top, replacing the filter is the top action you can take without having to pay a professional. Take notice the pressure you feel when your unit is going and you are trying to replace the filter, that’s how hard its working when the filter is full of dust etc. Word to the wise, don’t do this! Wait until the unit is not going to replace the filter.
