It’s been three years since we saw Marvel Studios Ant-Man. It’s been two years since we saw Ant-Man in Captain America: Civil War, so I know what you are thinking, “Where does it pick up and what can I expect?” Well friends, you are in luck, today the embargo is lifted and we are able to publish our reviews! I bring you Marvel Ant-Man and The Wasp a film review. Thanks to Disney and Marvel for inviting this girl on an amazing adventure to LA to prescreen the film and get to be a part of the press junket for the film. All opinions are my very own.
Here’s what you want to know about Ant-Man and The Wasp
Is it kid and family friendly?
Yes it is! I will most definitely be bringing Ezra and Aramis to see the film on July 6th. As you might know Ezra is 6 and Aramis is 11, they are the perfect age for the film. Can younger children watch? Sure but they might get a case of the wiggles and then you won’t be able to enjoy the film because you’ll be chasing them around. You’ve been warned 😉
In my opinion the Ant-Man franchise is perfect for families. I mean look at these two below! Love love love!
Is there lots of action?
Absolutely! You’re going to be at the edge of your seat! The action is fantastic and you’ll see a lot of big and a lot of small. Get ready for some “Quatum action” to the max! Hannah John-Kamen as The Ghost brings it like you won’t beleive. Think Doctor Strange and Black Panther quality action. As we sat in the screening theater we were all in awe.
Do we see another Luis conversation?
Yes, expect it and be ready to laugh! In great Michael Peña style he does a fantastic job in the supporting role of Luis.
Does The Wasp make her entrance into the MCU with a bang?
If you only knew how much of a potty mouth I am. I’m saying HECK YES to keep it family friendly. 😉 I’ll share more during her interview post we’ll be publishing next week. But yes, The Wasp has a solid place in the MCU. She’s strong, she’s smart, and she’s a total badass. Evangeline is EVERYTHING as The Wasp.
Does it tie into the Avengers movies?
Yes, it does. But Ant-Man and The Wasp does well as a stand alone film. In our interview with Director Peyton Reed he’ll share more on that. Just keep an eye out for the Easter eggs. Do we want to see The Wasp in the next Avengers film? Absolutely! So we shall see what happens!
