Making a Splash at Schlitterbahn for Spring Break
We are so excited to be heading to New Braunfels in central Texas to visit Schlitterbahn New Braunfels! This will be our first visit as a family. My husband spent his Senior trip there back in 1996.. Yep.. it’s been a while for him. It will be mine and the boy’s first visit. The boys don’t really know where we are headed, but I know they will be super excited once they realize they will be making a splash at Schlitterbahn for Spring Break!
Have you ever been to a Schlitterbahn water park?
Currently there are four Schlitterbahn water parks to visit! Three of them are located in Texas. Schlitterbahn New Braunfels. We will be posting all kinds of fun information as we will be visiting this park. “Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is our flagship park and is America’s #1 water park for 16 years and has won awards for the best water park, best water park ride, and best new ride.” Also located in Texas is Schlitterbahn Galveston, on Galveston Island and Schlitterbahn South Padre. Schlitterbahn Kansas City is located in Kansas, awesome right?
Every park has a claim to fame too:
- New Braunfels: World’s longest tube ride; America’s Favorite Waterpark
- South Padre: World’s first Transportainment system where interconnected rivers are queue lines for rides.
- Galveston: World’s favorite indoor park
- Kansas City: Midwest’s longest tubing adventure
Reasons to go visit them all!
We will be staying at Schlitterbahn too! I can’t wait to show you the accommodations you can expect at the Schlitterbahn New Braunsfels water park! Expect a lot of social media shares by me.

You guys will LOVE it! I’m a Schlitterbahn addict! Don’t forget the sunscreen and waterproof camera.
Oh Kristin I am so excited!! The boys really have no clue! LOL Yeah I need to bust out my waterproof sleeve for my iphone!
What fun! I am scared of water parks really, except their lazy rivers or floating areas … I just don’t do well sliding down and hitting under water. I tried it and the fear is still there …. because I went under and water went up my nose 🙁 This does look like a super fun place though!
You know what Brandy I’m kinda afraid to go down slides too.. Going into the water is scary, but I’m so excited to just bet here and see how the boys like it 🙂 I’m a lazy river kinda girl too!! haha
I would visit any of them. not only for the park but i have never been to texas. Each one of the parks pics makes me want to go there. My kids are at the perfect theme park ages and I can not wait to take them on a good vacation.
Wow! That place looks super fun! Too. Ad they aren’t closer. My family would love it there!
I love water parks! I’m hoping to get a pass to one this summer!
I’ve never heard about this place, but then again I haven’t been to Texas before. I have to admit the name makes me chuckle a little. =P
I used to live in Kansas City, so I want to go back and visit that one. Though Galveston would be super cool too.
My husband (The Coaster Critic) talks about Schlitterbahn parks all the time. Love that you put them on your site as well.
Every since I saw this place on the travel channel I have wanted to go! I do wish I was closer. We do have some great water parks here in Orlando.
My husband and I love waterparks. We don’t live close to any of these, but I’ve been through Kansas City once, so that park could have been fun!
This looks like a lot of fun! We have never been to one, but would love to.
They look like worlds of fun. I sure wish we had one nearby!
Wow, what a park! What kid or adult for that matter wouldn’t love spending a day or more there. I don’t see any near where I live but if I am ever in the area of one listed above, will be sure and check it out.
That looks like so much fun! We just got a water park last year {we used to have one but it disappeared for several years & they rebuilt it} but I was pregnant so I couldn’t enjoy it. I can’t wait to go this year!
Nice! You’re gonna have a great summer!
We have a water park about 15 minutes from my house, but it’s only open Memorial Day through Labor Day because we only get 3 months of heat here in MA 🙁
After this horrible winter, I would go to ALL of the Schlitterbahn water parks. This is the ULTIMATE summer activity. Looks like a great day.
No kidding right Raya! We are in 28 degree weather today.. I’m hoping it warms up and isn’t too cold while we are there.
Next May we are going to my SIL wedding close to there. We are really hoping to be able to take the kids.
Oh that would be awesome Toni! I hope you can!! They work with bloggers 😉
I have never been to Schlitterbahn. However, my husband and I watched a show about it on the Travel Channel one time and it looked crazy fun!
I know right! I’m so excited. It’s always listed as the #1 water park.
Very cool! I want to go there when my girls are older. That water slide looks awesome!
I’ve been wanting to experience a Schlitterbahn weekend for a long time. It seems like there would be something for all of us.
That looks like a great waterpark! Never heard of it, but then again… I’m in MD. 😉
We’ve never visited one of these water parks. I’d love to someday!
Oh wow that one waterslide in that picture takes my breath away just looking at it… I’d love to go down it! lol
Looks like a ton of fun!
