We love eating popcorn in our house! It’s just one of those awesome snacks that offers crunch, fun and satisfying!  I love to eat my popcorn natural with a little sea salt, the boys? They bring it with the butter! I was so happy to find a great alternative to just regular butter. Meet our new favorite popcorn topping: Butter Flavored Star brand olive oil. The olive oil inspired me so much I decide hey let’s try it on our favorite snack! Then came about the Garlic, Basil and Parmesan Popcorn featuring Butter Flavored #STAROliveOil .

Oh and don’t forget the sea salt ok! I love using my air popper. It’s healthier and I can customize my popcorn snacks like this! Did you know popcorn is a good source of fiber?! Yes it is! And don’t think you can only use the Star Butter Flavored Olive Oil on just popcorn. The possibilities are honestly limitless. I’m looking forward to using on homemade bread, on pasta, marinades , oh fish dishes.. and with some of my favorite Mexican dishes too. Let’s get popping!

The Garlic, basil and Parmesan popcorn is such an easy recipe and it’s a total hit with the family too. Pop the popcorn in your air popper and before it cools throw in the basil, garlic, parmesan and Star butter flavored olive oil and mix. It would have been easier to throw it all in a brown bag and shake it up. I didn’t have one available so I tossed it between two bowl and then carefully stirred it.  It’s very easy to make!  It’s like having gourmet popcorn in your home!

I’m actually thinking about taking it to a tapas party we are attending this weekend. I think everyone will enjoy it! I might make a sweet version as well! Ooh think butter flavored Star Olive Oil and some cinnamon and brown sugar.. oh goodness!
